A mystery about what keeps us connected in a world coming apart

 

SYNOPSIS:  Decades ago the moon suddenly disappeared from the night sky. This has resulted in fewer hours of daylight, several flooding disasters, as well as the global spread of a deadly phenomenon called La Luz Mala - The bad light. it's everywhere, and it has claimed thousands of lives.

24 years later we meet Elin - a young woman based in Scandinavia. Elin has grown up, alone with her father, and sensed that important things were being kept from her, since her father had always refused to tell her anything about the past.

In order to get some answers, Elin sends in a DNA sample to an ancestry website. Soon Elin learns through the website that she has a sister Keila, living in Argentina. Why has her father never told her about this older sister?
